Forschungscampus Connected Technologies
The aim of the Forschungscampus Connected Technologies project is to establish an interdisciplinary, long term research cluster, where partners from academia and industry work together towards efficient technologies that integrate and connect devices and systems for smart homes and smart buildings. The home of the future shall support the residents in different circumstances in an intelligent way. The interconnection of living environments to intelligent systems will create new ecosystems, whose actors are supported by adaptive tools and solutions. An example are smart homes and buildings that act as self-sustaining intelligent systems and together account for the stability of a smart-grid.
In the subproject "Technology, Cloud & Tools",
our research group will focus on hybrid technologies, that
facilitate knowledge and actions from human users as well as from
technologies embedded in the environment in order to achieve
user-defined goals. The concepts assistance and Cloud extend the HMI
to a Human-Environment approach. Target application domains in the
project are for instance Energy and Mobility.
Main focus of our research group are secure and autonomous interconnection of sensors and actors as well as their integration into distributed service runtime environments. During further project process, we will examine the integration of sensor-networks into Cloud environments.
