New project ide3a to start at TU Berlin
The DAAD just announced the funding of the new project "ide3a" officially. ide3a stands for [i]nternational [a]lliance for [d]igital [e]-learning, [e]-mobility and [e]-research in [a]cademia (ide3a).
In the project we will conduct teaching and research on the digitalization of critical infrastructures like water networks, energy grids, distributed sensor networks, and other interconnected urban systems. Specifically, we will help set up and run new courses that employ e-learning methods and leverage simulation tools. The research of the project will be connected and focus on co-simulation of IT infrastructures, water networks, and other critical urban systems.
The TU Berlin is at the center of this effort but the project network also includes five major European partners: the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the Dublin City University, the Cracow University of Technology, Politecnico di Milano, and the Hasso-Plattner-Institute, supporting the mobility of students of these partners across Europe.
The effort at TU Berlin will be coordinated by Prof. Dr. Andrea Cominola (Smart Water Networks) and Prof. Dr. Paul Uwe Thamsen (Fluid System Dynamics) and also includes Prof. Dr. Jochen Rabe (Urban Resilience and Digitalization), Prof. Dr. Sercio Lucia (IoT for Smart Buildings), aside of us.
